By giving attention and affection to the toy, be it hugging, changing their clothes, combing its hair, they know better care-taking skills. You will be amazed how much toys can teach!

And there is one thing that requires a lesson, though, because often more than not, it requires problem solving skills, most likely in the form of tangled hair!

Yes, dolls are just like us, they can have bad hair days. It can prove to be quite a tricky task if you do not know how to untangle the knots, but buying a new doll is not an ideal solution… chopping off their hair may not be the worst idea, but are you sure you have the skills necessary to give the doll a great makeover? Now, don’t pull your (or the doll’s) hair out, because getting it untangled is actually not that difficult.

What you need:

1. A bowl
2. A comb
3. Fabric softener
4. Hair conditioner
5. A towel
6. Hair dryer (optional)

Now, what to do:

1. Use the comb to ‘fluff up’ the hair. Be careful not to be too rough as it may pull the hair out;
2. Soak the hair in water mixed with fabric softener for a few hours;
3. Massage the wet hair with hair conditioner, keep combing gently;
4. Wash the hair with hot water (be careful, you don’t want to scald yourself). Dry it with a towel. Viola! Your doll’s hair will look brand new!
