Remote controlled cars have always been one of the most popular toys among children, and for good reason: they have their own car that they can drive, and there are so many different models out there that there is always one that becomes their favorite. For parents, there are a variety of reasons why remote control cars should be their top choice for gifts – they help ‘lure’ children away from tablets and devices, and they help strengthen their coordination (after all, even the easiest cars take some skills). It never hurts to get outside more to take a walk and breathe some fresh air too!
Not to mention the fun activities and games you can play with the remote controlled cars and your kids:
- Racing – yes, you can be the ‘driver’ and tell your kid to try to run faster than the car, giggles will ensue!
- Obstacle courses – who says challenges can’t be fun? Set up a route with obstacles that need to be avoided or driven around and see how well your child does it, it can sharpen their focus and concentration.
And many more! Not to mention it’s such a timeless toy that it just doesn’t go out of fashion – even when played less, now with all the fun designs they can be great decoration, or as keepsakes for all the great memories. Such experience cannot be replaced by any stimulation games… now, the question is, there are so many choices, which one should I buy for my kid? No worries, we come up with a list and you can see which speaks to you the most!
My kid likes something different-looking…
1. Motodrift
At first glance, you may have to think for a second – is Motodrift a remote controlled car? The answer is affirmative. And it’s not just about looks, this absolute stunning motorcycle defies all obstacles. With the powerful back wheels, it is also able to twist, spin, and drift on any surfaces. Perfect if you would like to take it out on a rough terrain!
My kid is looking for an off-roader…
2. 360 Cross II
Look no further, because the 360 Cross II is what your kid is dreaming of. Coming with four wheels, the car is incredibly shock-absorbing, which is great if your family likes to explore the wild. And it is all about resilience: its double-sided body allows you to drive it even if it turns completely and turns 360°! Also, don’t be fooled by its slightly bulky appearance, It has a scale speed of 240 km/h!
My kid wants something a bit more pocket-sized…
3.Mini Revolt
Concrete, asphalt, or sand… any rough surfaces are easily just runways for Mini Revolt. Yes, it may be small, but it is tough and durable. Also, it is relatively easy to control, as you do not have to u-turn it because its front and its rear are the same! Last fun fact, with just a push of button, it can transform itself to either a high speed car or a crawler that can over obstacles!
My kid is looking for the ‘wow’ factor…
5. Xtreme Buster
Your kid will be amazed that Xtreme Buster is able to eject a mini flip from the 4×4 – we recommend you keep it a secret and film their reaction when they see it! Despite the small side, the mini flip is also not a pushover, having also a double-sided body, which allows it to still be operational when flipped or turned sideways.
My kid is looking for a cool looking car…
6. Hyper Drift
The Hyperdrift looks like a race car, but it is not just all about speed. In fact, its claim to fame is its ability to perform insane drifts at breakneck speeds, much thanks to the wheels. 8- or u-shaped drifts are just a piece of cake for this badass-looking car.
My kid wants a tank…
7. Stunt Tank
The first ever tank car we made, and we are still extremely proud of it! This versatile tank, like many other toy cars in our line, can run on two sides, granting its the capacity to overcome any obstacle and remain functional even if it hits something and gets turned over – nothing is topping it! And of course, being a tank, its belts offer exceptional grip on any types of surface, so even in the wild it can be a great toy to have!
My kid is fashionable and stylish…
8. Crossroad
Is your kid more of a design wizard? Well, we don’t want to limit their creativity, which is why DIY Crossroad exists! It is a stylish 4×4 and it comes with stickers that can be used for personalisation. So tell your kid to make it their own. A fun option: you can put figures or small toys into the car too!
My kid wants a car with monster tires…
9. Super Wheel Truck Amazone
Or, alternatively, if your kid loves cool name, this car is it too! But seriously, this car is amazing. Its monster tires with super high torque make it safe to run on all kinds of tracks. If your kid want to play it on mud, let them, because it has a removable shell so cleaning is easy (and can educate your kid on the importance of responsibility, you play and you clean!)
My kid is a beginner…
10. Mini Flip Tank
We can literally start small – Mini Flip Tank. We know in the beginning it may take some time to get used to how to drive a remote controlled car, so this one is perfect because even if it gets turned over it can still go strong – no frustration of having to run to turn it over before you start over again!
My kid wants something big…
360 Tornado
Last not certainly not least, 360 Tornado is here to impress. And who can blame it? It looks impressive and it is impressive: it is much Bigger than 360 Cross, allowing it for more sensation and more acrobatic flips with its 2.4Ghz control system on two sides!
Don’t forget that there are other things for consideration before you purchase one…
- Where will it be usually played?
If your kid wants to bring it out in the wild, then you should go for cars with more durable tires, wheels, or belts.
- What technology does it deploy?
There are generally several technologies, namely infrared (recommended for indoor use), Mhz, and 2.4Ghz, which is ideal for making the most of indoor and outdoor playability. Most of our cars use 2.4Ghz. - What size should you go for?
Generally speaking, the smaller your child, the smaller the car should be, as they are usually more easier to play with. However, if they are more experienced and you always play it with your kid, a bigger car can be a fun yet safe choice too.
